Mystery Solved!
We figured out how Pearl came to associate mooing with milk. We DO have a book that references it. Mr. Peach was reading her a stack of books the other night and said, "Eureka!" (or something like that).

"Did you ever milk this kind of cow? Well we can do it, we know how!"

Your self-portrait with the pen and paper strikes home with me. After mothering through the baby and toddler years, I am finding the time and energy to get my voice back, on paper. I know it's there somewhere, but it's not the same as it used to be. I applaud you for doing this work during the toddler years.

Thats all we've been reading lately. Dr. Seuss books. My five year old is learning to read.
The milkies moo bit is too funny! Also, I totally agree that it is super fun to 'get to know' as you put it, the little person my son is becoming!
