Q. How Do You Know When You've Been Stuck in the House With a Sick Toddler for Too Long?
A. After your husband returns home late in the evening and as he is on the couch sitting next to the toddler, telling you about his day, you wander over to the laundry basket, pick up a clean flannel washrag, walk over to the couch, lean over, and quite thoroughly wipe his nose, until he squawks, "What are you doing?!"
Oops, wrong nose!

Haha! That's too funny!
I've been in the house with a sick toddler too this week. And now my husband got what our son has... So I'm on double duty this weekend with both of my boys sick.
Sigh.
Hugs to you.
This made me laugh outloud! We've had the colds here too- hope they leave your house soon.
Ha ha ha!
I hope she feels better soon and you are both able to get out and enjoy some fresh air today!
And it's just a guess, but I'm betting your hubby hopes the same... ;)
Since I too am home with a sick toddler I thought I'd delurk to tell you how much I love your blog. I visit it when I want to be reminded of the quietly beautiful, light-filled world of mother- and babyhood. You are eloquent. I especially love the way you infuse the everyday -- food allergies, sleep issues, runny noses -- with poetry through your voice and your images.
Thank you! I hope little Pearl is on the mend.
ohhh. poor little one. and poor you! i'm sending happy thoughts your way.
